THE WAPITI for 1960 records pictorially the personalities and activities of
York Road High School, both on the campus and in the classroom. However, it
is more than a record; it is the story of the arduous struggle of many boys
and girls in their quest for knowledge, friendships and achievement. This story,
with its illustrative examples, gives to you, its reader, a glimpse of our hap-
pier moments - moments imprinted indelibly upon our memories - - moments
which we, the Seniors, share with all who care to read .....
"THE WAPITI"
DEDICATION
To the President of the York Road Student Body, our classmate and our friend,
we dedicate this book.
John E. Montgomery has served as an inspiration to all of York Road, but es-
pecially to us who each day were eye-witnesses to his conscientiousness, his
courage, his cheerfulness and his confidence. We have each been proud of him
and wish the best of everything for him.
THE PRINCIPAL
To the graduating class of 1960:
